Solid Wooden Flooring
We have been machining and supplying flooring on site for nearly 20 years and our process is based on this experience.
Flooring is kiln dried to approximately 10%-12% moisture content. Boards are tongued and grooved on two sides for secret nailing and are approximately 20mm in thickness. Boards are machined, but not pre-finished and are supplied in random widths up to 200mm and lengths up to 3.3m according to stock.
A wide range of woods is available:
- West Country English Character Oak
- Character Oak Grade 1 - English or European
- Character Oak Grade 2 - English or European
- Ash - American or English
- Pine
- Beech
- Elm
- Maple
Bespoke flooring
And, as we can machine material on site, variations are available to suit your personal requirements: narrow strip, standard width, square edged or overlay flooring. Finally, to complete the look, skirting is available in a variety of widths and moulds: Torus, Ogee, Chamfer and Pencil Round.
Other flooring
During this time, we have built up relationships with manufacturers of flooring products to expand the range of quality flooring we offer. These include end matched floors, wide board floors and engineered floors for structural and non-structural applications.
We can also advise on the best type of wood for your application. For example, special consideration needs to be given to projects where there are under floor heating or moisture issues.
We recognise that getting the right result is important. Using our knowledge of wood, we can also recommend and supply a range of finishing touches from adhesives to finishing oils.
