External Doors
To show the beauty of the wood, our external doors are normally made of a light character grade of oak although other woods such as Sapele are available on request.
We construct our doors with the internal panels coming from air dried stock and the frame and other components made from kiln dried stock. Additionally, one of the principle features that we have built into our doors is a loose tongue to allow the wood to expand and contract. Our experience tells us this is the best way to allow for changes in weather patterns.
We can make bespoke doors to any dimensions in any wood. To give you an indication of price, a standard character-grade Oak door starts at £540 (plus VAT).
